Cape Guild of Weavers at Mogalakwena, Montebello
We’re excited to bring you a fun workshops line-up in collaboration with Mogalakwena studios, purveyors of local African craft, situated at The Stables, Montebello Design Centre, Newlands.
Many moons ago, when the Cape Guild of Weavers was still a fledgling organisation, our very first shop container was at Montebello. So you can imagine how thrilled we are to be able to return to these beautiful grounds (thanks to Mogalakwena for hosting us!) with our wider members offering.

HOW TO FIND US
More about Mogalakwena
Situated on a breathtaking reserve below Zimbabwe and Botswana, Mogalakwena embodies ‘experiencing the soul of Africa’. Through research, retreats, activities and events they provide a connection to projects focused on conservation, ecology, culture, social entrepreneurship and anthropology. They promote awareness and appreciation for handmade African home & decorative items in their studio shops in Cape Town and Pretoria.
It’s a great honour for us to be hosted by them at their studio shop at Montebello Design Centre and to celebrate the love of handmade textiles and fibre arts through our workshops among their offerings.
